0630 took a cab to SAF ferry terminal..told the uncle but he asked me where, apparently he didn't hear my answer properly. It took me a while more to reach there but I managed to reach there early As this was the first day we unpacked our stuff and surprisingly, I really feel that I am really so fortunate to have such loving and wonderful parents who have the patience to teach me on their own experiences and how to be better in keeping things in order. It was quite a fast day. After unpacking, we went for an introduction talk by the upper heads. It was a rather fruitful introduction as we were asked how could they have done better. After which we went for lunch.. Water tasted like the one in the saftmi but was better.. We had water parades and temperature checks.. After which we could call our parents and had muffin and cheese bun for supper. Saw my fellow batch of Didm guys.

Accomodations were similar to the one that I am staying in now but the showers were quite a disappointment, thinking that I could finish a quick shower, I ended up taking the full 5 minutes just to start the first rinse of my entire body.

1st July 2011

Had a great one at SAF Day today. It was a historical moment as this year would be the final year that President S.R.Nathan will be stepping down. I felt the honor as he was inspecting us on the rover. When we recited the pledge, I could feel the heart and soul of each and every one on parade and I almost cried.. This is the 1st and biggest parade that I have participated in ever since I joined the Navy. It was a really honorable and inspiring moment when I stepped in the square as it was totally different from what we did during rehearsals and there were so many people there witnessing the whole event.Tomorrow would be NE show!大家!加油吧!;)
